Special Initiative

Estates at Ferguson transformed an underutilized site along one of East Dallas's most important corridors into 164 units of essential senior housing for residents age 55 and older. Financed in part through a City of Dallas loan and a Dallas County grant, the development delivers a full mix of one- and two-bedroom homes at the 50% and 60% AMI levels, designed from the ground up as an Aging-in-Place community.

The development advanced the ongoing revitalization of the Ferguson Road corridor with the full support of the Ferguson Road Initiative, the grassroots coalition representing more than 93,000 Far East Dallas residents. Estates at Ferguson sits within walking distance of the White Rock Hills Public Library and preserves approximately one acre of private parkland — walking paths, a community garden, and shaded gathering space reserved exclusively for residents.
